SA resident (and blog reader) Neil has sent in this picture of his first day without a bike ride, and have given some excellent insight into the last-minute exercise scramble in the state.
A warm welcome from my lockdown home in SA. Now, you may be able to tell from the attached photo of my Day One lockdown atire, that I am a keen cyclist.
This morning, my Strava feed [a cycling based social media app] is full of unmasked Adelaide cyclists who last night completed their “last rides before lockdown”. It seems that cyclists believe that they could not catch or spread Covid prior to the government lockdown at midnight.
I’m on the @GuardianAus live blog today and asked SA residents to send in photos of themselves on the first day of lockdown. Neil Titterington did not disappoint. pic.twitter.com/cVGJ7Lwz80

1/3 COVID-19 AND BUSHFIRES ADVICE: If you are in quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19, you can leave your home if you are in an emergency or your home is unsafe – but try to get back into self-isolation as soon as you safely can.
3/3 You must ensure you advise emergency services that you have been forced to leave self-quarantine or self-isolation due to the emergency and if you have recently tested positive for COVID, are a close contact of a case, or are experiencing symptoms of COVID.
