The lawyer for Brittany Higgins has begun laying out her defence against a defamation claim brought by her former boss, the Liberal senator Linda Reynolds.
Reynolds is suing Higgins over social media posts that she claims damaged her reputation by alleging the senator hadn’t offered adequate support in the months after Higgins’ alleged rape in Parliament House in 2021.
