Artificial intelligence-powered cameras will be installed across a major e-scooter rental company’s entire Melbourne fleet to stop riders travelling on footpaths.
Some Neuron Mobility e-scooters already have the front-facing cameras, but 1,250 more were set to carry the technology by the end of this year. It’s the first time an entire fleet would be decked out with the technology in a major city anywhere in the world, the company claimed.
